VAK1A (1945-1947)
Developed from the proven VAK 1, the 1a featured an improved engine lubrication system and a more precise governor. A patented automatic load controlled hot spot for rapid TVO (kerosine) engine warm-up was introduced and the now universally used turnbuckle top link (also a David Brown feature) was fitted.
The implement hydraulic lift was design by David Brown not to infringe on Harry Ferguson 3 point lift patents.
