1212 HYDRA-SHIFT (1971 - 1980)

"The Quiet Revolution in Tractor Transmissions" was how the highly succesful semi-automatic "Hydra-Shift transmission was announced and which has since received a "Queen`s Award" for technological achievement. With a 72 bhp engine, the 1212 was the first tractor to be equipped with Hydra-Shift and also the first non-specialised model to have, as standard, hydrostatic power steering which had been introduced as alternative equipment on other DB tractor models in 1969.
