David Brown 780 Gear Lever Boots

Post by amck » Mon Oct 07, 2019 1:08 pm

Hello.

Was hoping for some advice recently found myself the owner of a David Brown 780. It’s been abused but winter is coming and hope to get it going for the spring. Engine is strong but I would reckon water has got into the back end as the gear boots are perished and it was outside in Northern Ireland so you know where that is going.

But I was wondering is the boots the same as the 880? Seen link on eBay for a pair £9 delivered which I reckoned was a fair price.

Sorry if this has been answered before I did search but didn’t see any answers.

Thanks

Some parts offered on eBay are of doubles quality, even if they are told to fit. Buy your pars from a David Brown specialist. The following is a link to David Brown Parts Ltd, showing the gear lever boots for different models. http://www.davidbrownparts.com/Gear%20Lever.html Save this link as you will find lots of parts for David Brown tractors from this link.
