Got the engine to start on 2 cylinders but throttle is wide open. Had to an off the intake to stop it. Still only 2 injectors getting fuel and shut off not working. May need the pump rebuilt? Not easy to find in US. Any over there?

Shut-off not working? Seems a bit odd, as it is almost like a safety feature. You may have to ascertain that movement of the knob/lever actually corresponds to proper movements of the lever(s) on the pump housing.

I do not know what pump type is on your engine. Rotary pumps ("distributor-type") shouldn't really have a problem with not feeding some of the cylinders as the high pressure pumping element is common to all ports/injectors. Maybe the injectors in question need servicing. In-line pumps have individual pumping (high-pressure) elements for each port/injector. Have you checked if fuel comes out at the ports on the pump?

A proper diesel shop should probably be able to dismantle, clean, check and put together any sort of pump. Damaged parts may of course be a problem, but if you're lucky, there's no need for replacement parts. Injection pumps are normally quite durable.

The stop may be easy enough to fix, but if the pump isn't delivering fuel to each injector then I think your best bet is to find somewhere that repairs injector pumps, they're specialist equipment - one of the few things on a DB that isn't a straightforward DIY job.

While you're at it send the injectors off for testing as well, if the pump is in such a bad state the injectors may need attention too. Round my way injectors are tested for free and you're only charged if they need adjusting or other work.

If you are struggling to find a diesel injection specialist in your area it might be practical to ship the pump and injectors elsewhere for not much money if you have somebody recommend a place that does a good job and won't rip you off.

Hi is fuel coming out if you loosen injector pipes, if the stop on injection pump doesnt work it can indicate the rack in the pump is sticking or stuck, this also affects the supply of fuel to the injectors, take the side cover off and see what is going on-- throttle movement --stop--and extra fuel start button, my friend managed to free up the rack movement and his tractor started and ran, keep everything very clean and what was the oil like when you drained it from the pump, is often overlooked. Usually the problem is fuel is not getting to the injection pump, fulty lift pump filters ect .
