1210 4wd progess so far

Post by gpm1 » Sat May 19, 2012 6:36 pm

This is the 1210 4wd previosly posted to to Forum to find out what engine was in it, discovered that it has a 1490 engine so I have left the engine as is, (sorry purists). Previous pictures are on the General Forum.

Work on the resoration has stopped for the summer, the cab, electrics, and a whole range of finishing off bits need doing, that will all be for next winter, now it has some work to do.

Taking it to Chipping Steam Fair on the 26th and 27th May, thank you to those on the forum who have posted back advice when requested.

Thanks
Paul Morris

Hello all
After a 4 year gap since I refurbished this pride and joy of mine (I don't think the original article pictures are going to reshow as article too old)I have finally got round to refurbishing the cab.

TIG welded a new inch strip in to each of the bottom of the window side panels to get rid of the rot. New roof, now wiper motor, and a good rubdown and respary will new rubbers on all the edges and doors.

Paul

Looks great. Where did you get the grey cover at the back of the cab? Also I see the roof has the black top but underneath there is a preforated white plastic lining, Can you buy this new?
