Competition No. 1. How much is this worth ?

Post by Scooby » Sat Nov 15, 2008 4:13 pm

I went to a sale today where there were some DB items.

This is a DB trailed plough. I've been told that they were made for the Bristol Crawler and only 120 were made because shortly afterwards Bristol put a linkage on the crawler.

The disks were shot, there were no skims, and the digger bodies were well worn.

Question is : How much did it make ? If you know keep it to yourself for a while please.

I'd reckon that someone would pay around the £200 mark for it and rebuild it with conventional general purpose bodies. As for disc coulters and legs, early Ferguson ones were the same so no problem there. The spoked wheel on it's own is worth 1/2 the value of the plough.
