Because they're PAVT wheels.

OK - I gotta ask - what's PAVT - provides automatic variable track :? :?

and three nice looking tractors there too - is it rude to ask who they belong to and what is the yellow one

Isn't Mr Harroison's 990 a fine looking red 990 - I like red tractors - does something for me - not sure what though

Power Adjusted Variable Track. Don't you have these in Australia Julian ? Massey used to fit them as standard on their 178 model with the heavy cast centre rear wheels. Presumably because you wouldn't want to take those off to adjust them !

They have never really caught on in this country. We tend to set our wheels where we know they should be and leave them alone.

David.
