Just thought i would post a couple of photo's of my recently acquired 880 Selectamatic looking a bit neglected at the moment, but it should keep me busy for a while.
Please correct me if i am wrong, but I am guessing its a late 69 or early 70 model, serial number 552944, it has been on the same farm since new.
It was also fitted with an LS8 loader and i have all the brackets, rams, spool valve, pipework. etc.

Serial Nos. for 880S (in your range) were 551553 = JAN 1969 and 557013 = JAN 1970 and so I would suggest that your tractor is end of March - beginning of April 1969

Scooby, thanks for that. I based my initial build dates assumption on the original registration plate number which is still attached to the tractor which is a Devon number issued between Aug 69 and March 70, i guess it must have been stood for some time in the factory yard, or at the dealers before it was sold and first registered for the road.

You're welcome Roger. She looks a reasonable old thing and would tidy up well I reckon. Good luck and show us what you get up to with the old girl please ?

I have an 880 serial no. 547086 date of first reg 11/04/68. It also has a L8 loader, so would be interested to see poics of your and any thoughts on how you will attach and control it. Many thanks.

It may look rough at the moment, but I see a lot of potential there. Nothing seems to be in "beyond hope" condition, at least on pics. I hope you'll fix her up good, Roger.
