Alternative use for a DB - road towing.

Post by broadsword » Thu Nov 27, 2014 5:57 pm

Saw this on the Brisca Heritage Stock car page on facebook. Back in the days when you could get away with it - taking the Stock car to Sheffield circa 1970`s.

Is she a 1210???? - looks long on the bonnet for a 990/995/996???.

How things have changed - we now use 90 series to tow the Stock cars off the track at Coventry stadium once a month.

Cheers

Andy

ps the bloke in the picture is putting the headlamp back after it shook off on the way to the track!!!!!!

Great photo. The tractor cannot have been very old then, looks like a 1210/1212, not a Q-cab. I wonder what happened to the tractor?

I Googled the 'Coventry stadium' tractor and found another:

That's me in the 1394 hydrashift!!! - the good looking fella stood behind the stock car with the bright orange safety vest on.

Tricky one this - front suspension wrecked and the rear axle also - I lead off with the 1394, the other tractor follows behind in reverse - tricky up a steep ramp off the track and through a crowded pit area - good fun though - the Stock Cars are awesome to watch if that thing floats your boat.

Cheers

Andy

Here`s the trusy steed and the wing mirror nicely covers my ugly mush!!!
