Scotty, Great looking 1412 there i have one [see traction] that cab never came to Australia i would certainly like to have that one in my fleet.Cheers Tom Williams DBTC AUST

Scotty, a bit of a surprise when I saw your tractor reg number. My 1412 was the next one along, must have been side by side in the same dealership. Do you know any more of it's history?

hi it came from David brown dealership at wiggingtonjust outside York.went to a farm terrington
then to a farm at crake for 26years.

Yes, well I remember on my nose cone you could faintly make out a sticker saying David Brown Retail, Wiggington, York. I don't know where mine began its working life but from the late 80's till around 1996 it belonged a demolition and excavation firm in Hull where it was solely used for cleaning the road outside the yard with a pto driven rotary brush, not hard work but I suspect it didn't receive a lot of love and attention. A friend of mine bought it from them to use on his small holding till 2008 when I got it to gradually tidy up and eventually restore.

HI Steve,the last owner was 83,and used to plough with a 3 ferrow reversible,back end of last year,there is another one some where,with reg number one up or down to owers
the first owner a mr drury had 2 from new,
we are going to restore the 1412 soon full respray ect,to go along with the 1410.
will try to find out more,

Hi Scotty,your 1412 looks in much nicer original condition than mine. The one I have seems to have been destined to be exported to Denmark originally as all the stickers inside the cab are in Danish but with English stickers still there underneath. Does yours have the big David Brown decal across the top of the back of the cab as in the 90 series?

Hi Steve,1412 had a slight problem,crank shaft oil seal had to split it,all done now
fit new clutch at same time,it has just been bailing last week running ok

Hi Scotty, mine too needed a rear crankshaft oil seal when I first bought it, clutch was okay though when we took it out. Here's a pic of when we split it. Steve.

a ex DB mechanic soon had it sorted

Hello, please see thread " our farm sale in 1993" in this photo section. These two 1412's are pictured on their original farm at Terrington. I worked on them when they were new when I was at DB Wigginton branch who supplied them. . They are both German spec'.
