Congrats on the victory.

Unfortunately I could not attend due to work commitments. Are there any online articles or photos of the event? Also, when and where will the next championship be held?

Cheers

I would be prepared to join the DBTC of Australia at the suggested cost but would really like to see if the DBTCA could be integrated with the DBTC with perhaps a portion of the DBTCA fee going to the DBTC. ... perhaps the newsletter could be integrated on this web site under a heading in the MAIN MENU and also events shows etc could be posted there too

I strongly feel that the DBTC management does such a great job with the club and this site that I would not like to see fragmentation or disassociation

Similarly I would like to see other countries affiliate their DB clubs with this website so that when we travel we have a common place to seek information about DB club activities and then we may be able to plan our itineries to join in with their club activities

I know when I travel to the UK I will try and organise my itineray so that I can get to see the Museum on an open day and meet team members

Not relevent to anything but Australia is huge and according to Google Earth Perth to Sydney is the same distance as London to the Suez Canal or the most eastern coast of Canada

2011 DAVID BROWN TRACTOR CLUB OF AUSTRALIA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB MEMORIAL PARK DENILIQUIN AT 3PM 17TH SEPTEMBER.ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND STATE REPS,WE HAVE STATE REPS IN NSW, VICTORIA AND QUEENSLAND AND ARE LOOKING FOR REPS IN ALL OTHER STATES EVERY ONE IS WELCOME. IN CONJUNTION WITH THE AGM WE ARE HAVING A CELEBRATION OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSERY OF THESE GREAT TRACTORS THE 990 AND 880 IMPLEMATICS.I CAN VERY WELL REMEMBER THE RELEASE INTO AUSTRALIA IN FEB 1962 OF THESE TWO MODELS.I THINK ANYONE WHO MENTIONS DAVID BROWN TRACTORS MOST PEOPLE WOULD RELATE TO THE 990 IMPLEMATIC WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE BECOME A REAL ICON IN THE TRACTOR WORLD. THERE IS SOMEWHERE A DAVID BROWN ADVERT IN COLOUR OF THE 990 IMPLEMATIC ON ONE SIDE AND THE JAMES BOND ASTON MARTIN DB5 ON OTHER SIDE.[DOES ANYONE KNOW OF THIS]I SAW ONE 40 ODD YEARS AGO.CHEERS TOM WILLIAMS.

I have just received the DBTC magazine and would like to congratulate all persons who put this great magazine together. As i have said in my last post i remember the 990 tractor it came to Australia in Feb 1962 missing the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL FIELD DAYS which is held every NOV. However they were out in full force at 1962 Field Days.I was there as a 17 year old and having a drive of one.I can also remember visting DB tractors in SYDNEY March of 1962 and being invited into where they assembled the 990, the one tractor on the floor was fitted with 18.4 x 30 rear 750x16 front, cast centres front and rear, power steer,. roller drawbar and remote hydralics this tractor was at 52 hp going out into the wheat in western NSW THOSE WERE THE DAYS.Cheers TOMWILL DBTC OF AUSTRALIA.
