Looks like something non tractor. water pump pressure increase valve perhaps? Doesn't look like it's for use with oil. Crop sprayer perhaps?
David Brown pump?
Isn`t there a firm called David Brown who do gears and pumps and stuff which is not part of the original David Brown tractors company?
I`ve come across them on the web

RE: David Brown pump?
Don't know if they still exist as part of the Company but there was a division that manufactured right angle gearboxes and reduction gear boxes known by the name of 'Radicon', these gearboxes were deployed in situations where a high power and speed input was needed and a slow speed output required or something on those lines, the Post Office tower restraint revolves on a D.B gearbox and a lot of water pumping stations use them as do hydro electric plants. The Ford D series lorries used D.B gears as did a lot of other commercial vehicles, Army tanks and ships as well.

RE: David Brown pump?
so its not rare or worth trying to sell? should i send it to the scrap man?
RE: David Brown pump?
Should be worth a fortune, everything else labelled or has the name David Brown on it usually makes big bucks, well it does if I want to buy it.
