990 selectamatic latching valve removal

Post by Wheelrim » Sun Apr 26, 2020 2:04 pm

Aftter about 5 hours of trying to loosen and remove what seem to be a totally firm Latching Valve I've been successful.

I drill a very slightly undersize hole in the end of a bolt then split the end of the bolt slightly opening the end of the bolt with a screwdriver.

It gave me a tapered hole that was then very gently tapped onto the end of the latching valve making it just firmly into place.

A gentle knock upwards on the head of the bolt eased it out.

If more details are needed don't hesitate to ask.
