880 Selectamatic Push-Pull Fuel Tap Seal

Post by tractorfan » Sat Apr 04, 2020 5:26 pm

Does anyone know the process for renewing the seal on the push-pull fuel tap? I have the cork seals ready; is it a fiddly job?

Many thanks

There is a location screw on the side. Remove this and the centre will was pull out and new seal can be fitted. Not a difficult job.

It might be the easiest way to drain the tank through the valve body. After the core is withdrawn, the fuel will escape through a hole, over which a hose may be quickly fitted (assuming a proper size hose has been found first) and then led into a suitable container. Been there, done that.
