3 way valve leaking DB 990 Implematic

Post by AJT4 » Fri Aug 30, 2019 9:44 pm

All,

Unfortunately the three way valve on my DB 990 Implematic is leaking from the taps (from the tap thread itself). I’ve replaced the “o” rings on the plungers however they are still leaking.

Any ideas for a fix?

The reason for this oil leak is usually the wrong size O rings being used. They are imperial not metric

Thanks, I’ve replaced the plungers for some spares I’ve had and seems to off cured it for now.

The O rings were available in a pack of three but I do not know if they can still be obtained.

There are 2 types of 3-way valves used in a Implematic tractor. The following two links will take you to the parts catalogue pages for these valves and the O-ring sizes are mentioned in the text parts. https://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-s ... 5ar1082883 and https://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-s ... 5ar1083873

I had replaced these O rings as well as the ones under the valve body with ones that seemed to be right size from a local shop, still had leaks then I bought spare parts directly from the local case dealer and that solved the leaks. As I remember the price was not bad but I had to wait a few days for them to come in.
