Stabiliser arms - different size threaded ends

Post by Alchad » Sat Jul 27, 2019 3:22 pm

Hi,

Having a tidy up around the place and find I have two spare stabiliser arms for my 1390. On one, the ball ends on the threaded part was seized solid and on the other the telescopic part had been welded so that it didn't slide!

Trying to make one good spare out of the two I discovered that the threaded ends had different sizes, one was a nominal 1" and the other a nominal 1 1/8". From all other aspects the two arms look identical so just curious if the diameter change indicates one was from a different model ??

Thanks

Alchad

PS Google as I might, I cannot find anywhere that sells spare threaded ends with the ball joint on their own, you have to buy the complete stabiliser bar. I know they are relatively cheap, but seems a waste when I only need the threaded part. Does anyone know a supplier?

Try all the tractor wreckers around the place and also davidbrownspares but yes it will be a complete assembly now days as not many companies break the parts down. Also by posting here a member might have a spare to sell.
