Steering cross shaft 880

Any tips on fitting/aligning the cross shaft on an 880 with the steering shaft.Thanking you.

If the procedure you are asking about is what ollek is referring to I centering the steering box by putting it on full lock one way then count the rotations to being full lock on the opposite way. then halve the number of turns and that centers the steering box.
With the wheels facing forward I measure from the back edge of the front rim to the chassis on each side until they are equal. Then adjust your arm that come from the drop arm to the front axle so that it drops into position.

Ollek I mean the steering wheel shaft to the cross shaft.To be more precise will I need to remove shims from the peg and how tight does the top bearing need to be?Thanking you.
