DVLA Registration

Post by buzzman » Fri May 17, 2019 11:18 am

Hi all,
I read in a previous post that the forum secretary could provide assistance with DVLA Registration of tractors. I have bought a DB 1390 with an incomplete numberplate. I have managed to get readable photos of the registration plate on the chassis with the engine and tractor serial numbers. Any assistance would be appreciated
Thanks

What you do depends on how much of the number plate is missing and whether DVLA have a digital record. If its only a digit you can go to the governments tax check web site and enter the number as you think it is and see if it comes up with the correct vehicle description. If you find the correct vehicle you can apply for the V5.

If the above draws a blank, then youll need to get the club to date the tractor and apply for a new age related number. You can just apply to DVLA for a Q plate if you arent bothered about an age related plate.

If you have the engine and chassis numbers you could apply by using form V62 and leave the reg no blank if the details are still on the dvla database you will get the origanal number if not you will have to go down the lines of a age related reg after applying to the club for proof of year of manufacture
