David Brown 50 D engine parts required

Post by Jonathan Amos-Brown » Fri May 10, 2019 8:48 pm

Hi to all the David Brown Collectors I am a South African John Deere 40 Series and Lister engine collector. I am assisting a friend Errol Kirchoff who collects David Brown tractors who maintains he is tooo oold to learn how to get on the internet.
He aquired a 50 D crawler that had the engine stripped for repairs by the previouse owner who's health deteriorated and he could not complete the rebuild. Thieves broke into the shed and removed most of the engine parts to sell for scrap and all that was left was the block that was too heavy to carry.
Erroll is desperate to rebuild this crawler and we are making a appeal to all of you on this forum to help us source a engine irrespective of what condition it is in or parts that we can try and rebuild a engine.
There is a Denver tractor spares branch in East London which is on the east coast of South Africa that have offered to transport any parts we can source to South Africa in one of there containers. That solves the main problem of transportation for us.
We really appeal to all the forum members to help us restore this crawler that bas far as we know at this stage is 1 of 3 others in South Africa
Regards
