Post by erikstenvall » Tue Apr 02, 2019 10:11 am

Hi , helping a friend finding a bearing to the final drive on his VAK1a. The bearing is totaly smashed and he can´t even see what kind of bearing it is, cylindric roller, taper roller, ball or other type? Dimensions are 1.1/2x3.1/4x1. Spare part number is 19053, can anyone help me with information about this bearing please.

Hi on final drive input shaft the old parts book says 1 1/2 --3 3/4 by 15/16 wide two of but doesnt give size on output wheel hub shaft, all are ball bearings and everything is pressed together. A bearing supplier should be able to match sizes but db2d will have more information.

Bearing- David Brown part number 19053 — Roller R.LS. 13.R

19123. Alternative to 19053—— Roller Hoff. RU3L
A .020inch thick shim is required if this bearing is fitted .

db2d, thanks. Do you think an ordinary ball bearing will do the task?

Hi erikstenvall the old parts book was for a VAK1c so the OD of the bearing was different to yours, does your your wheel flange have a large nut or not like the later tractors. If you can find a bearing of the exact sizes i can see no reason why it will not work.

You should be able to cross match using the bearing numbers I have supplied.

Hard to find any roller bearing corresponding to RLS13R or Hoff. RU3L.
My search goes on

Plenty of google results for RLS13 bearings. I thing the R on the end may be a single rubber seal??

When I take bearings into my bearing supplier if the numbers are not coming up he simply measures the OD, ID and width and then puts the bearing on the counter. This is something he did for my front wheel bearings, yes these are a slightly different tapered angle but still work perfectly well.
