885 Loader Removal

Post by Oldgustav » Sat Feb 16, 2019 11:40 am

I have very recently acquired this 885 and it has a front loader (partly why I got it). It's going to be a bit cumbersome to leave it on in the summer months when we are mowing etc. There appear to be only two pins either side holding the loader on (visible in the photo), so is there a technique for getting it off safely (only me and the missus here)? And the hydraulic connectors, how are these disconnected and it there anything I need to know. Sorry for all the questions...

Thanks. Found something similar but not the exact loader. Need a couple of loader parking stands...

Looking at photos on the internet - I think you're right! Why would they have done that? I'll go and have a look...

Can you point me in the direction of a loader manual? I haven't been able to find one for this particular loader.

As you say, lift cylinders are definitely on the right way - but they do seem go on the other way round on most loaders.

Is that in the loader is meant for a DB1190 but is fitted to a DB885 - or it's a 1190 loader? Another poster says it's a CASE Model 55 Loader. :?

I think there should be a data plate on the loader that would tell you what model it is??
