880 injector pump problems

880 injector pump problems

I have injector pump problems. The line that goes to tank(overflow line I think) on the very bottom of the pump near the block ,is part striped and can not start back the owner before me inserted and put lock tight (a thread sealer) and when I changed the lines it came lose . I need to know what size this is ,tap is this US standard or British or metric and if this fitting is available Billy :?: :?:

You do not say if your 880 is an Implematic or an Selectamatic. This sentence does not make any sense, please clarify what you mean. The tractor is made in Great Britain, and the threads are therefor Imperial. If you mean the straight connector between the pump flange and the return pipe, then this is a CAV part. If that is the case, ask your local CAV dealer for details. I think that a thread lock/sealer called Loctite have been used, not lock tight.

It reads to me as though the fitting has been previously put in with Loctite of some description, and for whatever reason the threads are stripped.
If the threads are indeed stripped then a tap won't work as there wouldn't be enough metal left for the thread and you would have to take it up to a slightly larger thread size, which could be almost any type of thread imperial or metric. Or a thread repairing insert might be an alternative option.
