Renewing Membership

Post by alanc2 » Fri Sep 22, 2017 11:37 pm

Is there a problem with making payments to renewing membership, it has now lapsed for short period? I have sent several e-mails and recently posted messages on the site, all with no response.

Is there another way of paying, I am sure the club could do with money

It was only yesterday that your PMs to Admin were discovered and the Club apologises for that. Your query was passed on to the Secretary immediately and I am now about to pass on the link to this topic to the Membership Secretary also. For the benefit of both yourself and others it must be apparent by now that the Club has found itself in a difficult position with regard to the web site recently. The problem had to be addressed dramatically but there is now going to have to be a period of time to get back to some sense of normality.

We ask for your patience please while this takes place.

Or in English......the website was hosted on an aged platform and grew to such a size it essentially.....fell over.

We hired in a 'specialist' who was useless.....then another who was 'a big girls blouse' no 3 it seems is a top chap....

The club now hosts the site on our own server and we have moved content across to this medium.

As a consequence.....a few of the email accounts, and the shop catergories are essentially a mixed up nightmare and will take a week or two to untangle....

Long term a this is good news as finally we will be in charge of our own destiny.... As Scooby says, please bear with us 👍

Memberships at 25/32 are available if the shop is causing you problems from DBTC PO BOX 990 HOLMFIRTH. HD9 1YH

2018 calendars will be on sale soon....

I am not a martyr but despite my "Signing Off" topic at the top of this Forum I feel that I have to stay around and help in whatever way I can to get this site back on track again. This is a wonderful club and a great community. In the meantime thank you to all those who have PM'd me with some very kind words.

Thank you for the response, I appreciate there have been some problems. I will now post the subscription, as Madders instructions. Perhaps a standing order arrangement would eliminate the need to remember when membership was due?
