***DAVID BROWN ANNIVERSARY EVENT & RALLY 23th & 24th of September.***

Post by Scooby » Thu Aug 31, 2017 10:05 am

On the 23rd and 24th of September there will be a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Cropmaster, the 50th anniversary of the 1200 and 780 tractors, and the 70th anniversary of David Brown's involvment with Aston Martin and Lagonda. It will be held at the DBTC Museum, Meltham. HUDDERSFIELD. HD94AN

A full programme of events is planned on both days, including a tour of the former David Brown factory, a road run, tractor driving and dynamometer testing on the former experimental DB test track. And Alan Kellet will be giving lectures on the Selectamatic hydraulic system.

A wonderful opportunity to see what the DBTC is about, view it's unique museum exhibits, and chat with fellow enthusiasts.

A couple of photographs kindly sent in by Alan Kellet showing the sectionalised Hydrashift unit with former DB apprentice training instructor Terry Hampshaw, left ,who sectioned the unit back in ,74 and former personnel and recruitment manager Geoff Uney, right, who took it to colleges /universities to show prospective DB employees what Meltham were capable of. The 2nd photograph shows Sarah Sudell who presented the Selectamatic courses in the museum on the Saturday.
