your tractor should not be on 38s ,its all about front and rear combinations if they are wrong it will wind up the gear box and cause it to fail

The tyre combination for a tractor with David Brown front axle should be Front 11.2-24 and Rear 16.9.34. The combination for tractors With Selene front axle is Front 9.5-24 and Rear 12.4-36. Other combinations can be possible, provided that the percentage difference in the rolling radius is the same between front and rear. Ask your tractor tyre garage to calculate combinations that can be used. The lead between front and rear shall be between 1 and 4 per cent. The rolling radius for a 16.9-34 is near the same for a 13.6-38. These figures however changes between tyre brands and need to be confirmed by a professional tractor tyre shop.
