885 q cab seized throttle

Post by dbiow » Sat Jun 24, 2017 10:52 pm

Evening all.
My 885 has sat in the back of the shed unloved since late sept
It fired up at the first turn of the key which was good but I then discovered that the throttle linkage has seized. It will rev a little (cable stopping it)if you move the lever on the injection pump. The hand throttle seems to feel like it always has but the foot throttle seems to be stuck.

I lifted the dash off earlier hoping to get some lube to the linkage but no joy.
Is there a easy way to access this area with out removing the loader brackets or jacking the cab up?

Any help gratefully recived, hopefully there are a couple of pics to show the tractor below.

The foot throttle will more than likely be seized where it goes through the cab. Did you remove the metal panel under the dash? Removing this panel should enable you squirt penetrating fluid down on the inside if you cannot do it from the outside because of the loader. It is just a matter of letting the fluid penetrate and keep trying to move the pedal.
