Evening all

Well today we fired the old girl back up!

We found 2 cracks in the webbing between cylinder 3 + 4 and smeared quick steel in them before inserting the new liners and have also used K-Seal ultimate which fingers crossed has solved that problem from rearing its head!

After adjusting the valves and having to hold a heat lamp over the intake on the first attempts at firing as she really didn't want to fire in our freezing workshop she breathed her first signs of life!!

she eventually fired up, a little smokey at first but it did clear after running up for a while.

Final jobs for tomorrow are to change the oil and filter as well as changing the fuel filters and replacing a few copper washers on the fuel lines.

Been thoroughly enjoyable, fingers croosed the repair on the cracks holds out :D
