Would this be the same member with "DBTC trusted" under his name? The one who tries to help, but is constantly spewing false info?

I liked Cambs1594, not afraid to say things how he saw it. Maybe should have been a touch more civil about it though???

He wouldn't recognise civility or manners if they hit him between the eyes.

I had nothing to do with his departure, but I know he was offending some VERY respected members of the forum.

I don't know of any "DB Trusted" members that spew false info - please check to make sure  However, it you mean a certain member, no, it wasn't him; there were other members who were somewhat fed up and, if my memory serves me well, left the forum because of him.

He sent me a PM complaining that some of the "older" people wouldn't listen to him and that he had a lot of experience and knew more than they did. Then he said he was 25 and had been working on tractors for many years. I suspect other members have had a lot more experience and knowledge - the "DB Trusted" members certainly have!

I'm over 60 and have worked on tractors since 1970 (longer if you count the years before I left school, where I was "playing" at tractor driving!) and still don't know enough! However, like most members of the forum, I am always prepared to listen to advice and don't cuss and swear at people who disagree with my views. I also apologise when I make mistakes. Just because we are "keyboard warriors" doesn't mean we can be less polite than if we were talking face to face.

I think most members would agree that this forum is a relatively peaceful one. OK, there are odd tiffs, but there are few real arguments and people do treat others with respect (usually!). Yes, we all have bad days, but it is usually a source of good information. I certainly find it easy to moderate - but that doesn't mean that incidents don't happen and that action isn't taken.

The art of a well managed forum is that moderation is not seen - that relies on having good members more than good "managers" (note - I'm not saying moderators!!!)

That would be "Libel", not liable.
