Kontak loader valves
I am attempting to put new o-rings in my Kontak loader valves. I have them removed from the tractor and on the bench. The two bottom through bolts came right out easily. The third, which is at the top seems to be held in the two sections somehow. Each valvebody has some sort of a button or pin or something at the top of the body which appears to line up with the through bolt. I assume this is what is holding the bolt from moving. But I do not know how to lossen this pin. Are there any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

RE: Kontak loader valves
Hi, I have done one of these - they are a bit fiddly, but easy enough. You need to make sure you have got some good quality Imperial (not Metric) 'o' rings. some of them have to be fitted to the spool before it is fitted back into the block. I think the block should come apart in slices. The pin part seems to be held in with an 'o' ring. Google "kontak spool valve" on images and there should be some exploded diagrams. If the pins in question have to be removed they should pop out - I think they may be to keep the main body in line or something. They come apart very easily. There will be more 'o' rings than you realise!

still can't separate the two bodies.
OK. it appears what I am looking at are the load check valves. The rod goes through them.
