990 db power steering

so i was using my David Brown tractor today it's 990 selectamatic power steering I think it was made between 1968 and 70 it has a bucket and a backhoe and the steering just started spinning it's not locking up and I'm not sure what I'm looking for any pictures or help would be appreciated i took the steering shaft out to look at it and I can see the worm gear but it's nothing on the end of it

Can you move the steering shaft up & down in the steering column?,
Sometimes the top bearings fail or gets loose then the steering shaft will travel to far & allow the 28 Ball Bearings to fall out of place,
If you send me a pm with your home email address i will send you a scanned copy off the steering box
