Re: best way to attach trailer?
Hitching a trailer that far back is dangerous as the tractor could rear up and capsize causing serious injury or even death. a trailer should only be hitched to the tractor drawbar and the drawbar should be be the forward position , the rearward position is usually only used for PTO driven implement...

paint touch up
Just fired up a couple of my Croppies after their winter rest, had to do a few paint touch-ups. I use a pipe cleaner [the smokers type not the drain type] they can be bought at most craft shops , they work really well and when finished just cut off the used bit , no cleaning up.

Re: Exaust pipes
DB parts list a straight through exhaust for turboed engines so I assume they must have been origanly fitted by DB.

Re: Exaust pipes
A lot of turboed engines had a straight though exhaust pipe, I dont know if your 90 series is turbo or not, I also know some people that put a crowbar straight trough the exhaust pipe said it gave the tractor more power?

Re: Tyre Swap
Sand blasting is the only way to clean wheel rims properly . I get a local guy to do mine and he primes and paints them immediately afterwards in a proper spray booth. maybe not cheap but an excellent job. cheap and good value very seldom are partners.

Re: 30D injector washers?
When I restored my 30D I had to have new copper sleeves made {expensive] I did not use any washers , it runs very good and no smoke, Maybe the reason for the smoke is the injectors are not the right distance from the piston when firing, I will check my workshop book when I get a chance ,

Re: Wear in 880 Selectamatic Linkage
DB traditonally used a 7/8" pin with a lynch clip to attach the lower link arm,I have used a pin with a nut and bolt that is bolted tight on the bracket with the lynch pin holding on the arm and it works better although not original, you have to be really looking to notice . these are readily availa...

Re: 1965 David Brown 880UE Implematic, how to prime transmission hydraulic pump?
If you had the pump apart would it be possible you put it back together wrong , maybe the drive gear and idler in the pump should be reversed,
just a thought I haven't had one of these off in years.
