Re: 990 PTO shaft
If it has a bolt and special washer on the end of the shaft you should use loctite on the threads , from memory I think it was a allen screw that was used,a new one used to have loctite already applied.

Re: Warning bulbs, David Brown 1200 dashboard
the bulb and holder are pushed out from the back, then you pull the holder off the bulb , they can be tricky may be corroded and the holder can be brittle but if you have new ones ordered you will be ok.

Re: Question regarding 885N indicator warning bulbs
IF you can get your hand up behind the dash the bulb holders should push out , they might be gone hard and brittle and break easily , David Brown Parts have replacements , I have just fitted 3 to one of my 885's . the easiest way to remove the dash is first remove the steering column just 4 bolts to...

Re: steeringpump David Brown
As far as I know the pump on the left is belt driven off a pulley bolted onto the pulley that drives the water pump and alternator , at least that is the way it is on my 885's . it should be easy to get or adept a pulley to suit . I can measure the diameter if you want.I believe these pumps are no l...

It might be a good idea to strip down the king pins and clean them up , then you can check the thrust washers , I was able to get a thrust bearing to replace the washers, it is a help . grease should not be used on the king pins or trunnion shaft DB recommends 140 oil. A second grease gun for this i...

Re: Leaking Hydraulic Pipe Bypass? on 885/1
That unit is called a Cessna valve , a seal kit is available from David Brown Parts. Be careful when opening the end as there is a spring and 3 small balls in there, wrap a rag around the cap as you take it off that way you will not loose the balls. Open the clip at the other end and you can then re...

I made one using a piece of 2"round nylon bar , if you have a lathe it is no problem, or somebody with a lathe could make one, mine has worked perfect for 3 or 4 years.
