RE: 880 Selectamatic genny to alternator upgrade

Great-sounds straight forward enough. Is there a particular car alternator that fits easily and does the pulley size need changing?

880 Selectamatic genny to alternator upgrade

Has anyone any advice on replacing a duff generator with an alternator on a 1965 880 selectamatic?I'm trying to find a cheap alternator that will fit with minimal changes to mounting brackets and guidance on wiring changes. All suggestions welcome.

880 and 990 3 point link arms

Can anyone tell me if the 3 point lower link arms and check chain fixing bracket under the PTO are the same on both 880 and 990 selectamatics?

I have an AL3S loader on a DB880 selectamatic. I guess the hoses you are having problems with are the ones between the spool block and the soild pipes on the loader arms that go to the bucket tip ram? On my loader these are the only ones that are bent tightly. I can send you some pictures if you let...

Did you sort out the dimensions for your bucket? I have an AL3S fitted to an 880 which I can measure up for you if it helps.

Is your 880 an implematic or selectamatic? I have just fitted a loader(frontlastare) to a 1965 880 selectamatic so might be able to help with the loader problem if its a selectamatic.

If you go to www.ebay.co.uk there is someone who sells copies of an 880 service manual on CD for a couple of £s. I dont have a copy on CD so I cant say how good it is, but its probably better than nothing?

DB880 with AL3S loader

Does anyone know what load an AL3S loader will lift? With a full load on the front can you steer the tractor without power steering? Where can I get seals for the rams? Whats involved in changing the seals.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
