Re: DB 880E LS8 loader install issues

Hi S.V. You have to remove one of the Hyd fittings from the larger pipe in order to pass it through the Clutch Bell Housing, that pipe acts as a support & also supplies oil to the lift Cyl's, when you have it through the Bell Housing there is two special half moon pipes that has to be installed as w...

Re: Adding external hydraulics to a Selectamatic

Hi Lofty;
You said a DB Stack valve sold for $630.00 Canadian on E-Bay, i have one, complete with base plate that i would sell for $300.00 & if you needed the Power-Beyond-Pate for the top of the Stack Valve it would be $80.00 extra.

Try white vinegar, the one that you get at your local Grocery store, i find it works the best, don't leave it over 24Hrs,

Re: Air in the fuel line

you said this only happens when you are going up a Hill, fill the fuel tank all the way to the top & see what happens, if it works OK, then i would check the pipe inside the Tank, also check the vent on top of the filler cap,

Re: '66 990 Selectamatic starter 26133Q?

If you can get a new Starter for $200.00 get it, It's going to cost you a lot more to have the old one rebuilt & you still have a old Starter, the new ones are a lot shorter & more compact, you usually get 12Mts Warranty as well.

Assemble the rotor-pack and slide as assembly into the pump body, when it's in pace take the front cover and put every-other setscrew and tighten same, then remove the setscrew, and check the gap between the pump body & front cover you should have app 0.020 0.030 using regular feeler-gauges, if you ...

Re: No lift on 900 livedrive

Get yourself a block of hardwood and keep banging the pump with the open side down against the hardwood, they should start to move enough that you may be able too get a wooden dowel to knock them out, make sure you put them back in the same order as you removed them
Good luck

Re: No lift on 900 livedrive

Hi Gard; Remove the two brass bearings that's still showing in your picture & when you do, you should find two oil rings, make sure you replace them, take all the old oil rings that you are replacing to your local Hyd shop, they should be able to fix you up with the correct size and a better quality...

Re: correct fitting of clutch discs

The long center of the PTO Disc goes towards the Flywheel & If you look at the center of the Main Clutch Disc, it should say, Flywheel side, if it don't look at the old disc, the original disc were always marked.

The 880 selectamatic will out perform the 990 Imp or sel, as far as I'm concern the 880 Sel is one of the best Tractors that David Brown ever made
