Leaking fuel pump on caseih 1494

The CAV diesel pump is leaking on my caseih 1494 from the gasket at the top of the pump between the top housing and the main pump body. Is there any way of tightening down this housing as it only weeping slightly atm so before it gets worse if i could tighten down this housing maybe it might stop th...

Thanks for the reminder must do it asap.Is it every 2 yesrs your meant to change the antifreeze in tractors?

What antifreeze do you use - is it the premixed or the antifreeze you mix with water?

Sticking throttle on 1494

Hi , has anyone else this problem on their 1494 of the throttle sticking when you rev the tractor with the foot pedal and revs not dropping back when you release the foot pedal? What the problem i find with mine is the throttle bar sticks in the bushings where it goes from lefthandside to righthands...

I used a steering ram off a 996 and the steering link arms off a 1212 i had scrapped.

I cut off the tray/housing for origonal steering on my 1494 (no big deal to do)and swapped over 1212 steering link arms.

A few pics of 996 side ram on my 1494.

some of the 1390/1394 tractors had the steering ram along the side of the chassis like the older 996 had and was wondering if that arrangement could be taken from a 1390 or 1394 and fitted to the 14/15/1690 series,anyone tried it!! I done exactly what you say to my 1494 ,i put the steering ram off ...

Bigger rear tyres

Hi im replacing the rear tyres on my maxxum from 18.4r38 to 20.8r38 could someone tell me how much of an increase in top speed i will get by doing this?

My maxxum only does 20 mph atm.

There is optional extra of trailer brakes for a 1394.A friend of mine had trailer brakes on his 1394 .

I dont know where you could get this kit but trailer brakes can be put on a 1394
