Hi this is the model that I wish to restore to its origional colours and some repair work. It is a 8 speed gearbox - 4 high and 4 low. Is this a synchomesh gearbox? What are the origional colours The hydraulic takeof consists of a 2 way tap. The hydraulics seem to work OK. What are the origional col...

990 lubrication points

Hi
My Manual says that the axle trunion. king pins and hand brake need oil and not grease. However they have what looks like grease nipples. How does one get oil into them. Any advise appreciated.

990

I note reference to 12 gears on many 990 reports.
Mine only has 8 gears is this unusual or an earlier model?
Can anyone advise please?

990 rear take off.

My rear power takeoff gear lever will not go into gear with engine running as it grates with clutch in. Clutch works OK with geabox. I have to put it in gear with engine off and then start motor to use it. Has anyone struck this problem before and what can I do to fix it.

manuals

Looking for a good operators manual for a 990 selectamatic.
Can anyone suggest one?'
I see a 990-995-996-2wd/4wd manual for sale on this site. Would that do?
I am on a learning curve with this tractor and want something that will be helpful.

On the top of the linkage cross shaft on RHS there is a lever that pushes left or right. It makes the linkage go up or down. What is the point of this given that the leve...

RE: Hydraulic front end loader

Thanks. The tractor is a selectamatic. The loader is connected to its own control bank. It has a 2 way tap behind my left foot. At the back by the linkage shaft on the left there is a brass handle which is turned to select loader or linkage. This is spring loaded and has a pin which drops into diffe...
