Re: 1690T reduction ratios ...

The 1690t with 18.4 --38 have 14.9 --24 front tyres where the 34" rears have 13.6 -24 fronts to keep the ratio correct also there can be different profile of the back and front tyres depending on what tyres are fitted.

Re: Cropmaster Fuel Issue

Hi does it make any difference if the tap is on reserve or main supply? or maybe some dirt got dislodged when you removed the tap and got to the carb maybe check and give it a clean, First remove outlet pipes and move tap to see if fuel is running on positions.

Re: 1394 steering fluid change

Hi as in previous post yes un doing the pipes and operating the steering will drain the system, the filter is in the housing where you fill the oil remove this to get to the filter-- will most likely need a new o ring where it fits on, filters are available from Sparex and other suppliers, system is...

Re: DB 1200

Hi probably a good idea to change the fuel filters if its been sitting a while, try pressing the cold start button in the injection pump, needs the throttle leaver at part revs position as cold start doesnt click in at idle, you should hear a click when pressed in, that means the fuel control rack i...

Re: DB 1200

Hi ollek if the hydraulics are on lift at start oil and air will be pumped to the lift cylinder, if not on lift oil and air will circulate back to gearbox untill just oil is circulating then would be the time to start using the lift. Re: By-pass valve removal tip

Hi it was part of the first service on DB 1200 the valves were removed by service man and polished with fine wet and dry paper to remove any marks from the new valves slightly sticking i was told at the time, the tractor has had no valve problems to this day. Re: DB 1200

Hi it is usual to leave the lift leaver in the lower position when changing gearbox oil as air gets between the valve and lift cylinder if leaver is on lift when started --i incorrectly said suck air but the pump sucks everything on start -- however if leaver is left up usually the lift cylinder has...

Re: DB 1200

Hi a good idea is to carefully un do the gearbox drain plugs underneath and let any water out and screw them back, can be a bit messy getting them back but avoids water getting through the whole system, if oil looks bad replace it, there is a filter element and screen in the sump at bottom of gearbo...
