Hard luck Martin, fortunately as you say no harm done and no one hurt.

On the bright side, now you're free over the Easter hols you could always ger the power hose out and give it a good clean and polish around the back end!!

RE: case 1494 splitting advice

Thomas, The cab doesn't have to come off. There's a couple of photos in the post below which give a bit of info on splitting a tractor. http://www.dbtc.co.uk/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=5018 Also, you might do worse than spend a hour or so searching for other posts on the subject, it's ...

RE: 1390 Hydraulic Problem..

Oz, Do you have a loader fitted - this will work in one of the other positions of the 3 way valve - if so does that work OK? Also - sorry but have to ask - is the oil level up to the mark, have the LP and HP filters been changed. Have you checked the rubber connection betwen the pump and the suction...

For what it's worth, I did look in the online shop, and also checked my Sparex catalogue, couldn't find it in either place which is why I posted the question.

Marxie,

Is that the engine number in the photo above?

Try looking for the tractor serial number, see link below

RE: LOG SPLITTER HYDRAULIC

Andy, As far as the return connection is concerned, I think the experts would say that the return should not be to the filler plug but to a point on the casing, see this thread http://www.dbtc.co.uk/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=5525&highlight=%2A However, I can't see this slowing down th...

Had a chat with my local tame mechanic who is a natural when it comes to all things to do with tractors. He's convinced me that the most likely culprit could be dirt/debris stopping the valves in the lift pump closing properly. Sounds the easiest thing to investigate next.

Update. Remade inlet pipe to lift pump using PTFE around the olive. Also used self sealing tape around the fuel tank to inlet pipe join to eliminate the possibility of air getting in (well almost eliminate). Then I tried cracking the join on the inlet to the injectors. Each time the engine performan...

Casey, Hi. I saw your original post and was hoping one of the proper experts might have come up with some other ideas. The post with photos Martin linked to was one of mine, but before you do go that route I'd urge you to have a good read of it, it's not a job for the faint hearted. More importantly...

RE: 1494 Electrics layout

Hi, Have a look here, I think they're all pretty similar. http://www.dbtc.co.uk/mediashare/wj/0y6lgcrxhgx6gpenx0f8z93jhtqodc-org.jpg You'll probably have to use the Windows magnifier to see it clearly - and scout around for the colour codes, they're in several languages. Come back if it's no help. A...
