RE: Hydraulic Log Splitter on a 780

Hi, Can't help very much about connecting up to a 780, but attach below a photo of my log splitter. It has a 3 point linkage connection but that's just for moving it around, when I'm using it I rest it on the ground. The photo shows how the ram and actuating lever are piped if it helps. 950 Before Restoration

I received the photo below of a 950 which was bought about 20 years ago and has been garage stored most of the intervening time, but is now in the process of being restored.

Looks to be in pretty good nick even before restoration!

RE: will my loader fit?

Mart,

There should be a small metal plate with the type somewhere on one of the brackets - may be covered in paint, see if you can find that; it might help others confirm which model DB it will/will not fit.

RE: will my loader fit?

Mart, Just a note of caution. I've got a 1390 4WD which I fitted with a loader a few years back using brackets which were in poor condition. I recently bought some better brackets which were supopsed to fit a 1390, but I had to do some modifications to the brackets to get them to fit - by welding on...

RE: Juan Manuel Fangio behind the wheels of a DB!!!

Andy, Just a thought - presumably that's a reference number on the photo, so perhaps one of the local newspapers might have had it taken and have a copy - or the library? Also I'm sure they'd let you have a good copy if you said it was for a story in Tractor News! Alternatively, the DB archives are ...

RE: 885 REBUILDING ENGINE 3 SPRINGS WHERE DO THEY GO

Hi,

Check out this link and select your tractor, then look at the engine parts diagram. It might help.

Pete,

If the white washer is about 1 inch in diameter I think it goes between the filter and the pump body. The rubber washer is probably for the bolt which fastens the outer can to the main body.

The tombstone is the section of the tractor chassis at the front below the radiator. Have a look at this
