Drawbar
Hi, anyone attempted to build up a worn drawbar tongue before? What would be the best to do it with? Cheers

Re: 94' series 4wd components the same?
Hi Geoff, the 1410,12 has the same box as a 1394/1494 but the diff and rear axle housings and reductions are 15/16 size. 7/43 diff ratios are in the 1494 and down and the 8/41 are for 1410 up.

Re: 94' series 4wd components the same?
Hi, you will need the transmission or part of it as the diff pinion on a 2wd won't have a spline on the end for the 4wd gear.

Re: Beware 1412 exhaust on ebay
The turbo won't like that sort of back pressure for to long. I just use a suitable sized bit of pipe and break the washer out from the centre. Shouldn't have to do it on a new pipe though!!

Re: Timing Gears
After removing the injector pump gear I found at some point someone had fitted a bolt that was to long holding the power steering pump on and this was pushing into the rear of the injector pump gear, hopefully good for another 50 years now!

Re: Timing Gears
I'm just replacing a set on a 990 with a ad4/47 engine with power steering pump aswell. Apparently hard to come by the power steering drive gear. But my wrecker supplied all I needed. Anyone know why they fail unexpectedly?

Re: 990 gearbox
Hi, I have a similar problem on a couple of my DBS, it's more like worn selector gates and when I change from 1or R to 2 or 3 the 1 and R selector rail doesn't quite return to neutral which stops the 2 and 3 selector moving. Hope this makes sense!

Re: New radiator
Hi, I fitted a replacement radiator on my 1394 from sparex, but it gets hot when working hard, so I looked in the filler hole at the cores and the center row had half the cores missing compared with the old radiator! So beware

Re: 1594 three point does not lower fully without load attached
Hi. It maybe was tight but it sounds more like the drop arm bottom fork was 1/2 of a turn out causing it to contact the plough arm before it was fully lowered?

Re: Flushing out the block
Hi, in the past I have used a tee fitting that you connect your water hose to and air compressor to then fit in the block drain tap hole. With the air running in aswell as water it seems to remove a lot more crap but have both radiator hoses off and thermostat out aswell.

Re: Ware to mount loader joystick in a 1394
Hi, I moved my hydrashift lever over to the rhs console when I brought my tractor a few years ago and when I fitted my loader last year I used the old hydrashift mounting holes in the dash for the joystick. Works well

Hi, putting a hose clamp on first then using your slip jaw pliers on that saves damaging the knob too

Re: 1412 spool valve cables
Hi, I think walvoil valve banks use the end you describe, they are on a lot of loader banks. You can manually push or pull the spool to lift the loader if you need to move it aswell
