Re: 880 hydraulic problem

What was the figure written on the flat bottom face of the spool valve and to what movement did you set the spool valve? Is the spool valve moving up about 2,5 mm when you move the control lever from full lift to full lower? Was the hole in the small restrictor in the by-pass valve untouched and not...

Re: 94' series 4wd components the same?

The diff on a 1494 has 2 conical gears and the 1594 has 4 conical gears. The rear axle cage is different on the 1594 (stronger) to the 1494. The brakes are different between these models as well. The disc brakes on the 1594 is larger. In fact, the complete back end of the tractor is different betwee...

Re: 94' series 4wd components the same?

No, the bevel pinion shafts are not the same in 2WD and 4WD models. The following link shows that the that the shaft in a 2wd is ref 1 and in a 4wd ref 4 https://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-search.html#epc::mr68059ar1286687 Please note that it is not the first time the Case IH parts catalogue has ...

Re: 885 Fuel Pump Problem-- Black Smoke and Clatter

PoppyShan wrote that he saw smoke from the thermostart when he parked the tractor and left the ignition on and that he have had no problem after he disconnected the lead at the Thermostart. This indicates that current was fed to the Thermostart, even the pre heat position on the ignition switch was ...

Re: Hydraulics!!

I don't think it is possible to install any linkage "backwards" in the hydraulic system. What is the maximum pressure you will get in the lift cylinder when the hitch control lever is fully forward? The maximum TCU pressure is 50 bar and the hitch will lift with full pressure (160 bar) only when the...

Re: 885 Fuel Pump Problem-- Black Smoke and Clatter

One more time. The OP said: the tractor would start easy and idle well, but when accelerated, it would clatter". This is the symptom you get if the advance screw is left in the cold start retard position. A leaking Thermostart will let in the same amount of fuel into the inlet manifold all the time ...

Re: 885 Fuel Pump Problem-- Black Smoke and Clatter

Bad running because of a leaking Thermostart valve would usually not be related to engine revs, but the cold start retard screw in the wrong position for running, as alan have told, will.

Re: 1690 T

Yes, the 1594 was tested in the US for drawbar pull as stated in the US test specifications. The US test is called the Nebraska test. The 1694 was not tested to US specifications as it was not sold in the US. I think I said that before. The link supplied has a line called series next and the 1694 is...

Re: Back actor for a DB 996

Philedge, if you are talking about the David Brown digger, then I have to tell that this digger was not connected to the 3-point hitch , but had its own frame, bolted to the side of the engine and below the rear axle.

Re: Hydraulics!!

You wrote:"the lift arms to work I have to push the operating lever forward to lift and pull back to lower". This is how the hitch works when you have selected TCU/External on the selector switch. The pressure in the lift cylinder is in this case only 50 bar, and this pressure will not be able to li...

Any tests made by the David Brown pull cart was in factory tests, not official tests. Official tests are made by official test stations and only official test results can be published.

Re: Back actor for a DB 996

NO agricultural tractors are designed to have diggers fitted to the lower links and the top link. I know that there is diggers for connecting to the 3-point hitch on the market, but I wold not recommend any to be fitted. This has nothing to do with tractor brand or model, all 3-point hitches are des...

Re: 1690 T

The reason for this can be the rfollowing: The 1690T was not sold in the US because the Americans did not want the Meltham production to interfere with their own production of tractors with the same horse powers. There was a big dispute about all this and the Americans wanted US made Case tractors w...

Re: 780 rear wheel nut 2 types?

The new ones you have got are wrong for this application. Please see the following link https://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-s ... 03ar256244 The same nut are used at least on the 885. There is a possibility that you would find nuts from a tractor bracer.
