The original dynamo would have been a Lucas 11amp C40A but a
Lucas 40T 22amp was also used.

The reason for this oil leak is usually the wrong size O rings being used. They are imperial not metric

The gearbox and hydraulic system share the same oil. There is a filter for the hydraulic system situated on the underside of the gearbox, this filter should be cleaned prior to new oil being introduced. I suggest removing the unit from the pump. To ascertain if it is open or closed blow through it, if it is in the closed position no air will pass.
