Keep up the good work with the brochures James (a bit bigger if possible) Maybe the site could have a seperate part where users can upload their own David Brown brochures?

David Brown 880 4WD

This leaflet was recently on eBay and shows the "Allrad programm" of David Browns. Which shows a 1200,990 and 880 4wd. I understand that the 990 4wd is very rare machine but was never aware of a 880 4wd ever being built. http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/8732/dballradvv0.jpg Translated from the germa...

DB 3800

This picture is from the US spec Selectamatic brochure, if i remember the 3800 was a petrol version of the 780 and the larger 4600 was the petrol equivalent of the 880. Being petrol powered they were fitted with a modified head to use spark plugs, and AC Delco distributor and a Zenith carburetor. Ho...

Cropmaster Anniversary

Anyone? Personally I think it would be a great shame and a missed opportunity if the DBTC didn't do anything. The cropmaster was the second biggest selling tractor by David Brown, only second to the 990 selectamatic and it will be a great many years before the 990 will have it 60th anniversary.

Check Out Ingemar Karlsson's site http://web.telia.com/~u05100714/myvak1a.htm which has pictures from his VAK1a restoration. Also from his excellent site http://web.telia.com/~u05100714/serialwh.htm which will give you an approximate date of manufacture. If you could find the serial number (on the b...

Information on orchard Cropmaster

Was recently at the newark vintage show and whilst looking through a book saw this picture of a orchard cropmaster. The book wasnt really worth buying so I took a picture. From what I can remember the text described it as being an orchard model for export. From the looks of it, it is based on a pre ...

hi mitch, I've found that the easiest way to post images is to upload your image like you have done, once the image is "hosted" a screen like the one below should appear. I just copy and paste the line of text next to "hotlink for forums 1" into the message body. http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/4...

David Brown Brochure Downloads

Found this website which has just started a free service in which you can download tractor brochures. At the moment all thats available David Brown wise is a 770 selectamatic brochure but i would expect more to be uploaded in time. It certainly beats paying for them. RE: 60 anniversary

not sure about the idea of Woolworths but something along the lines of the Ford and Fordson club who arranged the 60th anniversary at Belvior castle.

Cropmaster 60th Anniversary

The Cropmaster will soon be 60 in April 2007 is there going to be anything arranged by the tractor club to celebrate this. The grey fergy turned turned 60 this year and was driven down some steps of a department store in London and i'm sure the david brown tractor club could and can do better than t...

First David Brown Cropmaster

As many members were previous employees of David Brown i was wondering if anyone knows any information on the first cropmaster off the production line in 1946. From Stuart Gibbards book (The David Brown Tractor Story 1936-1948) apparently the tractor was donated to the 'National Farmers Unions Disas...
