The 775 was a 885 with the smaller 770 engine in it, and as with many german spec tractors full front mudguards and rear mudguard seat. Here's a couple of photos that i saved years ago from ebay.de http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/6870/c11kg0.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/7302/e31lc9.jpg ...

RE: TASKMASTER OR TUGMASTER FOUND IN NOVA SCOTIA

If its an early one with a small glass fuel bowl I'll have that off it if its going to be scrapped. It fits in the same fuel tap as the larger (later) fuel bowl but the stirrup is a lot shorter. http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/897/sbowlwk1.jpg If you could get a picture of it, its always interest...

Just checked the book "David Brown Tractors 1965 - 1988" and in the back page it shows "the" last 1594 with standard dished wheels and a hydra shift sticker just above the commemorative sticker on the side panel, it was also fitted with balloons! In its current guise gone are the dished wheels, gone...

RE: inspection ports

The cam followers and the push rods live under there. Your best bet it to make or buy a new gasket. They are only three pounds over here. If you haven't got one as a template I'll send you the measurements of one over, I've just made two for the old cropmaster.

RE: david brown tractor club meeting

I cant wait till the second book comes out, the first has been an enormous help in restoring my cropmaster. Period photographs of tractors are a great help when restoring anything and the first book is full of them.

There was 1507 50D's made in total but most went abroad because of the lack of demand for a pulling tractor without hydraulics. The model which was sold at Cambridge was a UK sold model and came from Scotland, most other 50Ds for sale here are from over seas as a result the serial plates are in fore...
