Proposed Cropmaster register

I am contemplating the thought of starting a Cropmaster register, where people would send in selected information such as serial/engine number, location, condition and ideally photographs (either current or of the tractor through its working life). This would then be collated as the information is r...

Lincolnshire Steam & Vintage Rally 07'

Went to the Lincolnshire Steam & Vintage Rally on Sunday, here's a few pictures from the event. It has spurred us to get our tractor ready for the Newark show in November. There was quite a few tractors there with a good number being David Browns. http://img479.imageshack.us/img479/899/dsc03110vp1.j...

Cropmaster Grease Nipples

Can anyone point out the exact type of grease fitting used by these early cropmasters? The cropmaster originally had the hexagonal headed grease nipples with a thread of 1/8 BSP. Cropmasters from serial number P34658 had "hydraulic" type grease nipples like machinery made today. You can no longer b...

RE: 996

Mitch was nearly there, its a safety switch which doesnt allow you to start the tractor in gear. If you've had it off the gearbox top put the rubber grommet in before you hook the wires up, if you bolt it down with the grommet out you will no doubt fetch the wires off the switch whilst trying to get...

RE: cropmaster manifold

Hi joe, I think there should be enough demand for 100+ but only if the price is right! A new fordson standard manifold (pre 1950 improved manifold) are around £250, which when added to a machine which fetch around £4,000 it is an investment. With cropmasters now increasing in price (£9,200 ...

Re: Cropmaster manifold

Can anyone tell me if anyone has tryed to remanufacture cropmaster manifolds ? Hi doug, Not that i know of, and probably due to the cost of getting one cast. We have several manifolds all in different states of diss "repair" and would love a "new" one for our latest restoration. There was a straigh...

RE: Vigneron Cropmaster model

Hi there Robert, If I remember rightly from my GCSE in french (its been a while) "Vigneron" is french for "vineyard or orchard" so making it a Vineyard/Orchard Cropmaster. I myself posted this image on here a long time ago asking for more information but this could very well be a "'Vigneron Cropmast...

Corect position for a number plate on a 1190

I agree with Eric_t, all the 90 and 94 series tractors around me have (looking from the rear of the tractor) a number plate on the left hand mudguard and a plough light on the right. From what I understood of the law regarding number plates in the UK was that only a rear plate is required and must b...
