Re: Oliver 500 & Oliver 600

A friend of mine has 1 of only 6 Oliver's bought into Oz but the model escapes me. @ of these were delivered locally to us in the Manning Valley and it runs a V6? GM 2 stroke. When he got it, it did run but was smokey. However a weekend of dragging Lanz Bulldog tractors backwards in tractor pulls to...

Re: How to loosen this bolt witout breaking the lifting arm

You did a great job on finding dead centre of the old bolt and drilled it straight as well.

Re: Rear Lights

Hi Joe, These lights are for both a single and a double filament globe. When I looked at buying these there was an option of just tail lights or stop/tail lights and this when they fitted the double filament globe with parallel pins. SO when this is the case you do need to have an earth wire otherwi...

Re: How to loosen this bolt witout breaking the lifting arm

Well done. It sure was stubborn and didn't want to come out. I see you took the least harmful way first and worked your way successfully through the option.

Re: DB Front Axle Problem -spindle/axle

I tend to lean with ollek about repairing stub axles but I don't think it is against the law but rather against my grain based on safety. If I noticed a weld on a stub axle I would be asking a lot of questions IF the tractor was going on public roads and if it has been an engineered repair along wit...

Re: Cropmaster or DB 900 color code in USA

Nice work with the seat mount and dampening. I too am about to go through this exercise of painting our 30C and have the same issue with paint codes and paint suppliers all being different to one another and it is rare that there is a cross reference to other paint systems. I feel that I will defini...

Re: DB Front Axle Problem -spindle/axle

Is it possible to post a pic of the offending parts? Some time earlier this year there was a thread on a repair made by a member where the stub axle broke from the shaft. There were a few ideas on ways to do the repair so have a search through the Forum to see what can be found. If it has bushes ins...

Re: How to loosen this bolt witout breaking the lifting arm

Some great and safe ideas passed on here and if heating is preferred I would lean towards heating the bolt only and let cool as a first option. Then the idea of a puller with some weight on the bolt laterally while giving it a touch up using a heavy and light hammer and using the heavy as a mandrel....

Re: How much oil in engine and in gearbox DB-900

Each year that we take the DB30C to our rally our current President who is not a DB fan always comments on the noisey gearboxes that DB tractors have. I always then comment back to him loud enough that it too goes over the P.A. system asking him 'How many DB gearboxes has he seen failed as to his pr...

Re: How much oil in engine and in gearbox DB-900

Is there a reason for the slightly heavier oil you have suggested in the gearbox db2d? I use the SAE50 since owning our 30C and have had no issues and with jedmo living in Sweden I thought maybe a bit thick. In the hand book it lists many different grade oils for various climates and I thought it wa...

Re: Rear Lights

Aerosol cans is what I am referring to. They are called a pressure pack can as the paint is under pressure in a can. As for the colour, Hunting Pink is what this is suppose to be and possibly will be but in full gloss 2pak paint. I have no paint codes that make sense here in Australia as we use diff...

Re: Rear Lights

Thanks db2d but I wanted these to be black to break up all the red once finished. There will be some other small changes from what is considered original but that is how I would like it to be. Take these stop/tail lights for instance, wrong make of tractor and never ever seen on this mark but it wil...

Re: Rear Lights

Here are my head lights painted and ready to go back on once the tractor is painted and the fan, generator and starter motor are also done. These tail lights are still hanging to dry so will post a pic of them once re-assembled.
