Re: David Brown 880A Selectamatic Fuel Sender

At least you can connect the sender and test it outside the tank rather than fitting it and filling the tank.

Re: 1965 David Brown 880UE Implematic, how to prime transmission hydraulic pump?

Glad you are getting closer to it working as designed. To my fading eyes when I look at the 2 valves E & F they look very similar with both having points at the bottom and that maybe the seat that the F valve sealed against has stuck to the bottom of that same valve. I know this is wrong but is wha...

Might be best to start a seperate thread to sort out your cold start issues so it is not confuing as to the replies for each issue.
IF your ignition switch is not working correctly andnot making contact properly, this maybe the problem for the cold start.

Re: Cropmaster petrol to diesel

I think it would make the 30C lean over to one side if it was fitted. It really is one very industrial and heavy starter.

Re: Cropmaster petrol to diesel

WOW, how this got resurected from 2011 is amazing. The idea of converting a 30C to diesel left my head once I found a complete 30C, Series 1, Cropmaster style tractor. Since buying it I have done the lot on it rebuilt the engine, clutch, brakes, various bearings around the tractor and seals then fin...

Re: Purchased a Cropmaster - Have a few questions

Nice one Mark and thanks for the video links. Out here you can find the parts at a tractor wreckers, online auctions also can produce the oddest parts at times. Maybe a member on here might have a spare parts machine that they are happy to sell the flywheel and starter you will need. Then you will n...

Yes, very well done. As stated it appears that we should check the assembly against the workshop manual to be certain it was put together right the last time.

Re: 1965 David Brown 880UE Implematic, how to prime transmission hydraulic pump?

What great news that you have found the problem of the gears not meshing. Something that I have read about with hydraulic pumps is end float and this must be accurately measured and tolerances adjusted back to specs. One thing that can make the tolerances too big is wear on the end plate as fluid ca...
