double check your battery leads i went to a tractor the other day man said he had checked the leads but it was rotten inside the lead put some jump leads on the battery one to earth the other to the starter if it trys to start its the battery leads good battery leads also helps some lazy starters

looks like a oilfilter head gasket of a perkins engine or something like that oil canister type head i wouldnt worry its not off your tractor unless you have developed a major leak

i would remove the dump valve and and its little plate and under their is to valves one is were the dump valve is and the other is next to it under a plug you need a big straight screwdriver to remove it do one at a time you need a piece of half inch wooden dowel to push into the valves wash the out...

all our tractors rev to 2500 high idle work them hard from day one and it wont be any bother engines that are worked very lightly are hopeless and the day you work it hard it will blow its brains out we have tractors with 8000hrs on the clock plus and have not had a spanner on them change the oil by...

now then i have some genuine pumps on the shelf at very good money the other thing is you should be getting around 2500psi but we have all forgot to tell you to check the pump drive off the crank you can ring me about the pump any time oily

dipstick is on the lefthandside behind the cross shaft under the cab at the back it should be a round back knob shape you my need a light to have a good look and the flat plate thing on the toplink housing is for setting the draft sensing if it works i would just put the lever in middle

sounds like your clutch plate has stuck to the cover you could try and drive it with your foot on the clutch pedal try jabbing the foot brakes on and off if you can get it in gear but becarefull and make sure you have plenty of room ie middle of a field if not you will have to split the tractor at t...

ar men in the past i have had tractors with this problem if you take the inlet pipe off unscrew the union nut very carefully pull out the little valve their sometimes is a very fine gauze filter clean it out pop it back together and 8 out 10 times it works

it all depends on what you are doing with the tractor. if you are working the tractor day in day out i would pay for a good quality kit but if you are just looking at it ie odd road run light work it should be fine and once you have rebuilt your engine run it in with some light work for a couple of ...
