RE: Leaking Cropmaster oil pressure button, help!!

I had a similar problem with a VAK1 oil pressure button approx 30 years ago. From memory i dismantled it & found it to be a well made brass mechanism, the leak being caused by a perished diaphragm. I cut a new disc of material from a single layer of a lift pump diaphragm & fitted it & it is still oi...

RE: 995 PTO part no. Please

Please be aware that the 990 series has the hydraulic pump in the front of & driven by the PTO box, while the 1200 series has the hydraulic pump driven from the engine crankshaft. The component parts of the two PTO boxes are different.

The easy way to distinguish between these models is that without exception the VAK1 & VAK1A both had a large nut in the centre of the rear wheel hub in addition to the six wheel nuts. Generally Cropmasters do not have this large central nut, although certain specialist variants do.

I found this post from phil168 for the first time this evening & was unsure as to the meaning of "road legal version". If the tractor is a normal agricultural model (White/Red without front brakes), the answers given above are quite correct. However if it is a Highway model (Yellow with front drum b...

RE: fitting fel

Hello jazo. I realize you have a different tractor/loader series but are these what you were thinking about.

I believe DB GD90 loaders did not require stabilizer bars.

DB770 Mirror

I am currently restoring a 1965 white David Brown 770 tractor & would like to fit a mirror. As the mirror was probably optional at this time, i dont think this tractor has ever had one. However i do have an unexplained single bolt hole in the R/H side of the bonnet roughly in line with the back edge...
