Interesting dtw - @ $450 Canadian dollars that's about £220 UK money which is not far off a re-core done across here. Thinking about it I had a few years ago a 2.0GTE Opel Manta and that used to overheat, well run hot in stop start traffic or up steep hills and that was not the cores but lack of fi...

Hi Mab, the Wynns stuff has not got copper or other granules type stuff in and have used in car rads and works a treat(it doesn't show up or leave a trace in header tanks - which is a bonus if you are selling a used car.) K seal is the bees knees - it will seal liner leaks let alone rad leaks...

Hi, this is the link on the forum on how to upload photo`s - its quite a simple process (I can do it therefore it must be simple!!) - you just need to check that the photo (Pixels size) is not too big (under 256KB). Cheers Andy http://www.dbtc.co.uk/index.php?module=Content&func=view&pid=181

Why bother over complicating the issue with essentially spending a lot of money weaning engine oils to change over to synthetic meaning extra oil changes - are we adding the synthetic to the `old oil` or putting new mineral oil in and then adding in which case you have a load of new oil in anyway???...

Trade it for a Universal / Belarus / Zetor / Ursus !!! . As John says any car/van mineral oil will be ok but old spec - 15/30 wasn`t really popular for cars etc but 10/40, 15/40, 20/50 etc should be ok - anything you would put in a 1970`s / 1980`s diesel engine but without the word synthetic ...

If I remember rightly you can see the pick up guaze when the cover plate is off...

Anyone with 50`s / 60`s Sussex / Essex registered DB??

I`ll leave it up to admin but thought I`d put this in the general section rather than e/bay. Interesting piece of memorabilia for anyone with a Sussex (or Essex) registered 1950`s DB - Original `Harper and Eede`s` tractor plates to go onto the front panels or side panels. They finish off any restora...

Hi Maltelec, the air filter is the old `oil bath` type so has not got an element to it - there are 2 fuel filters on these, a long and a short type - perhaps db2d can tell which one it is from the photo`s and are the old element type. Oil Filters are quite costly and are paper and are in the vertica...

Mine was the same Robert, clutch worn out the main problem but suspect also a bit of wear and tear.
The difference when I got it back re-conned and fitted though was amazing - the old gal just spins over now.

Cheers
